This is the mess of blackberries and who knows what else that I was suppose to transplant along my new fence this year but now I have to wait till winter/early next spring.
New use for empty dryer drums!
empty pots, these are my chocolate cherry tomatoes. Had some from the farmers market last year! YUM! I sure hope they grow and produce! they are heirloom so I will be saving some seed!!
these are some of my containers.
Hi Kellie,
ReplyDeleteDo you need to put wire baskets around the tomaters? Here in the Mohave Desert we have bunnies and chipmunks waiting for their "fair share." I'm sure there'll be insect pests, too. Oh, and in the winter, burros! It never freezes here, so growing season is all year long. I'm going to take a stab at melons and squash this winter, after I make up some raised beds like you did.
I tried gardening about 25 years ago. I produced one (only one!) carrot. It was almost 1-1/2 inches long!

I've had gardens like your carrot one! lol! Yes I most likely will put cages around my tomatoes, they are over at my son's house, so I will have to get them. hmmm, you have lot's of pests wanting your produce!! I'd think about investing in a carnivore pet....like a mountain lion! lol! joking! (although I would love to have one as a pet!) My growing season is from about Apr 15th to Oct 1 or so. But we can grow winter wheat here. I hope your squash and melons do great!!!
