Planting by the Farmers Almanac?

Do you use any of the many almanacs to garden?

I was curious, have heard about them all my life, even read a page or two but never used them for gardening.

I signed up for one: THE OLD FARMERS ALMANAC

and got these free downloads:

It was free to register and I just may use it this year. I have made a chart of planting dates for my town (yes it went to my small town!) and since I will be starting five (hopefully six) new garden beds this spring, I think it will help me keep track of when the best time to plant is.

We shall see....after all, my garden could NOT do any worse than it did last year!!

    I do plant by the old farmers almanac as did my dad. :)

    My dad used it for over 50 years, it worked for him. I have only used it the past 3 years, but so far so good! :)
